Resetting your Browser to Accept Cookies
Important Notice About Cookies
Licensing agreements for all STMU Library databases
require that access be extended only to authorized
users. Once you have been validated by this system,
a "cookie" is
sent to your browser as an ongoing indication of
your authorization to access these databases. It
will only need to be set once during login.
If you are using a personal firewall, you may need
to change its configuration to allow the required
cookie to be sent.
As you access databases, they may also use cookies.
Your ability to use those databases may depend
on whether or not you allow those cookies to be set. You will need to
set your browser to accept cookies for the Library's databases from
the following URL:
- <http://ezproxy.acsmc.talonline.ca>
To reset browser to accept cookies follow the directions
below for the appropriate browser:
Internet Explorer
- In the "Tools" menu drop down and selection "Internet
Options";
- Make sure that your security setting is no higher
than "Medium". You may need to set this lower.;
or
- Click on the "Exceptions" button;
- From there you can specify which web sites
are always or never alloed to use cookies.
- You will need to set your browser to accept cookies
for the Library's databases from the following
URL:
- <http://ezproxy.acsmc.talonline.ca>
Firefox
- In the "Tools" menu drop down and selection "Options";
- Select the "Privacy" tab and drop down
to the "Cookies"
section;
- Check "Accept cookies from sites; Or
- Click on the "Exceptions" button;
- From there you can specify which web
sites are always or never alloed to use
cookies.
- You will need to set your browser to accept cookies
for the Library's databases from the following URL:
